Et puis j'ai oublié de dire que j'ai demandé aussi à Agnès si elle comptait sortir une édition collector, aprce que j'aime tellement le roman que j'adorerais l'avoir "en dur" (la couverture est encore plus belle en vrai, c'est la couverture qui nous a attirés sur son stand) et elle m'a dit qu'elle y songeait. Il faut jsute qu'elle ait beaucoup de demandes car ça lui demanderait beaucoup de travail. Alors il faut lui montrer tout notre soutien! On veut l'édition collector, Agnès!!!

Porcelaine - Version française

le meilleur roman depuis un long moment, j'en veux un autre vite!!!

Wow je n'arrive toujours pas à croire ce que je viens de lire. De vivre, même. Car j'y étais: la poussière de l'hôpital psy désaffecté (ça m'a donné envie de faire de l'urbex aha) et je pouvais presque sentir la mousse sur les arbres de la forêt qui longe Danvers (cette scène avec le faon... j'ai imaginé Bambi et rien que d'y penser j'en tremble, c'était juste incroyable) et je n'avais qu'une envie : aller rejoindre Sarah et Porcelaine pendant... "tout ça". Incroyable, juste incroyable. J'ai rencontré Agnès en convention (gros coup de coeur, elle est vraiment trop belle et super classe et tellement mais tellement gentille en vrai, en plus elle m'a dit qu'elle venait d'avoir un bébé, une fille qui s'appelle Lilith c'est juste trop chou) et Porcelaine est devenu le meilleur cadeau de noël de tous les temps!!! Le seul truc, c'est qu'il est trop court. En rréalité, le roman est d'une longueur parfaite, mais j'en veux plusss!!! J'ai demandé à Agnès comment l'acheter en DM sur insta et je vais l'offrir à ma meilleure amie pour son anniversaire le mois prochain et j'ai très hâte qu'elle le lise, elle va l'adorer c'est sûr! Et puis la fin, aaaaaah!!! S'il vous plaôt Agnès, maintenant, il faut nous écrire un autre roman, on en veut plus, toujours plus! <3

This novel is an absolute gem. Not only is Agnes Maelstrom’s writing breathtaking, but the fact that she self-translated Porcelain from French into English is seriously impressive. It’s tough to pull off a translation that still feels as alive and powerful as the original, but she nailed it. The atmosphere, the characters, the heartbreak—everything still hits hard in English. Maybe even harder, knowing it's not her first language. Honestly, it’s this amazing self-translation that caught the eye of the Horror Writers Association, founded by none other than Stephen King, and I get it. That’s how powerful this story is, and how great an author Agnes Maelstrom is. They had to have her. It’s no surprise why—it’s a brilliant read.

Un roman contre le harcèlement qui est devenu rapidement un vrai coup de cœur littéraire

“Porcelaine” est un livre qui m’a profondément touchée. Je pense qu'il s'agit de ma plus belle lecture de ces derniers mois, et je suis ce que l'on appelle "une grosse lectrice".

Agnès Maelström, avec ce premier roman, démontre une plume d’une grande sensibilité et maîtrise. Les descriptions, sombres mais magnifiquement écrites, permettent de s’immerger dans l’univers du roman dès les premières lignes.

Sarah, avec ses luttes internes et son combat contre le harcèlement, devient un personnage profondément humain et émouvant. Malgré son jeune âge, elle fait preuve d'une intelligence qui permet une immersion directe dans l'œuvre. On est loin du côté gnangnan de certains romans qui ne comprennent rien à l'enfance : oui, un enfant peut faire preuve d'intelligence !
Quant à Porcelaine, une poupée douce et hantée, elle incarne avec justesse la douleur, la perte et la mélancolie.

Le thème du harcèlement m’a frappée de plein fouet (j'en ai beaucoup souffert au collège et, après deux TS, cela reste un sujet très sensible pour moi) et m'a offert une forme de réconfort à travers les épreuves (et les actes...) de Sarah.

Un classique en devenir

Je lis beaucoup de romans d'horreur, mais celui-ci m'a vraiment marqué. La plume d'Agnès Maelström est hypnotique, et l'histoire de Porcelaine m'a fait passer par toutes les émotions. Si vous aimez les romans avec des héroïnes fortes, les récits d'horreur surnaturelle et les histoires où la vengeance et la sorcellerie s'entremêlent, ce livre est pour vous.

Une revanche poignante contre le harcèlement

Un chef-d'œuvre. Il n'y a pas d'autre mot. La façon dont Agnès aborde le thème du harcèlement est si réaliste qu'on ne peut que se sentir concerné. Et Sarah... quelle revanche pour toutes les victimes du monde ! J'en ai eu des frissons.
Ce livre est parfait pour les amateurs de romans d'horreur psychologique ou pour ceux qui adorent les histoires de vengeance paranormale.

L'intrigue, centrée sur une poupée ensorcelée liée aux procès des sorcières de Salem, est une réussite. On sent à travers les pages toute l'atmosphère pesante de Salem Village et de Danvers, deux lieux emblématiques pour les amateurs de fiction sur la sorcellerie et les procès de sorcières.

est à ranger parmi les meilleurs livres d'horreur pour adultes, idéal à lire pour Halloween ou pour tous les fans de poupées effrayantes.

Une immersion intense dans la folie de Sarah

Je m'attendais à un bon livre, mais là c'est carrément du grand art. Les personnages, surtout Sarah, sont tellement humains, même dans leurs pires moments. J'ai ressenti des frissons, de l'empathie et même un peu de culpabilité, comme si ses actes étaient aussi un peu les miens.

Ce qui m'a particulièrement frappé, c'est la façon dont Agnès Maelström nous plonge dans l'esprit de Sarah. On comprend ses colères, ses blessures, et même ses décisions les plus terrifiantes. Il y a une telle justesse dans l'écriture qu'on ne peut qu'être ému, même quand elle dépasse les limites de la morale. C'est une écriture qui ne juge pas, mais qui dévoile toute la complexité de l'âme humaine.

Et puis il y a Porcelaine, cette poupée ensorcelée, si délicate et pourtant si puissante. Elle est à la fois un témoin tragique du passé et un catalyseur du chaos dans le présent. Chaque scène où elle apparaît est empreinte de poésie et de mystère. Franchement, ce roman est une expérience unique que je recommande à tous les amateurs de récits intenses et bien ficelés.

Vraiment ravi d'avoir croisé la route d'Agnès l'an dernier à l'occasion du Japan Matsuri (elle est super adorable et très touchante), j'ai déjà très hâte de lire ses prochains romans !

Un premier roman bluffant

J'ai été totalement bluffée par la plume d'Agnès Maelström. C'est rare qu'un premier roman ait une telle maturité d'écriture ! Les descriptions sont si vivantes qu'on pourrait presque sentir le bois ancien du manoir craquer sous nos pieds ou entendre la voix de cristal brisé de Porcelaine (l'un des petits "trucs en plus" qui font de ce roman un vrai coup de cœur !)

Impossible de lâcher ce livre une fois commencé : j'ai absolument adoré !!!
