Agnès Maelström - mes chers

Last week has been one of the hardest moments of my life: my family and I lost our little Didi.

Didi was my parents’ mini schnauzer and my furry baby sister, and she passed away on her 14th birthday.

We were, we still are heartbroken.

Didi taught us so much of patience, and kindness, and love, and she helped my husband to not fear dogs anymore. As soon as he stepped into her life, he became her prince.

On that day I knew I was going to marry him someday.

Didi also taught my step-father and I to be a family.
Without our Didi, we wouldn’t even talk to each other now.

Didi holds a special place in our hearts, and I’m grateful I had the chance to know and love her.

We all will be missing her, as she was the center of our world–and she knew it!

Such a princess… Such a treasure.

Such a loss.

Didounette, you will be missed, as much as you have been loved.

Agnès Maelström is a French author who writes supernatural horror novels portraying terrifying characters dealing with abuse, violence, and trauma. Fascinated with the Occult, she has been studying Witchcraft since childhood. Her debut novel, Porcelaine, takes place in 1993 in Danvers, a small town in Massachusetts built on the remains of the infamous Salem Village. The quiet town experiences a new period of terror when Sarah, a young girl whose sharp humor is matched only by the blade of her knife, meets Porcelaine, a bewitched doll.
