Until now, I had a lot of difficulty writing regularly in this blog and did not understand where this blockage could come from. Every week, I tried to compel myself to compose an article, and it worked.
For a while.
But here it is: I don’t want to compel myself to write, neither within this blog, nor in my profession as an author.
I see this blog as a secret passage to a very intimate part of who I am; what excites me, torments me, awakens me.
A part of my darkness.
This passion for occult beliefs and practices, superstitions, folklore, goes back to childhood. I can’t remember a moment in my life when I wasn’t absolutely fascinated by everything esoteric.
I couldn’t even say when my first occult discoveries date back.
I remember those hot summer afternoons in South West France, a stick in hand in the family garden, while my grandmother taught me “how to play Witch”.
How could I forget these walks in the forest by her side, in the depths of Béarn, or these excursions in the Gers countryside with my grandfather, during which I recited the virtues of each plant?
It is therefore not surprising that my debut novel Porcelaine belongs to the French literary genre called Fantastique and even relates to Supernatural Horror and Speculative Fiction!
It now seems obvious to me that this part of the supernatural and the occult, which has built my imagination and now directs my pen, is the one that I must share with you.
Thus, every Wednesday at 2 p.m., as promised, you can find me for a new article on a subject that deals with folklore, esoterism, strangeness.
Together, let’s discover the legends that have passed through the ages and how they have been able to forge close links with literature and the arts!
I take advantage of this article to invite you to subscribe to my monthly newsletter, A Descent into the Maelström; every month, on the 13th precisely, receive my reading recommendations: all genres are represented!
Also, I am keen to share with my subscribers moments of my life as an author: here’s what a subscriber has to say about my newsletter:
Finally, I always make sure to satisfy my fellow Witches with some extra Witch-related special tips and advice!
🖤 Let’s be weird together, my friend! 👇
Looking forward to reading you,
